SPECIAL EVENT - The Carphone Warehouse Christmas product launch SPECIAL EVENT - The Carphone Warehouse Christmas product launch

Client: The Carphone Warehouse

Event: Christmas Product launch

Requirements:
Mobile phone giant The Carphone Warehouse needed a venue for the UK leg of its 8-country European tour, launching its new product range.

The organisers needed a venue large enough to accommodate the innovative set – a full-scale replica of a modern home, complete with a sizeable garden and a garage. The concept behind the set design was that each room showcased a different manufacturer, with the entrance hall focussing on The Carphone Warehouse’s own products.

Solution: With help from event design and production company Sculptivate, the Lindley Hall was chosen as the location for this quirky set as it was big enough for the set, yet intimate enough to not alienate visitors.

Producer at Sculptivate, Ben Bigland had used the Halls with another client, and says: “We wanted a large, clean space with good accessibility for our target press. It was a great opportunity to use the Halls again, having used them in the past with great success.”

With its stunning vaulted glass roof and spacious interior, the Lindley Hall lit the set flawlessly and naturally provided a fresh atmosphere whilst the Edwardian and contemporary architecture provided an elegant backdrop. Events Manager at The Carphone Warehouse, Charlotte Groom, says: “The space worked beautifully for the event, I loved the wooden floors and the natural light.”

With an anticipated 60 members of the press visiting, the event required a space that was intimate yet large enough to contain the set and, continues Ben: “The Lindley fitted all the criteria. The access, location and space were perfect. The Carphone Warehouse was very pleased with the running and outcome of the show. Everyone at the Halls has been very accommodating and our contact there was extremely helpful and flexible. I would definitely use the Halls again in the future.”
