The SPARKS Tribute Gala, held at the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre (RHH) in June 2007, served a truly deserving cause, paying tribute to various people who have raised funds and done outstanding work for the charity.
Dedicated to funding ground breaking research that has a practical and positive impact on the lives of babies and children, many important areas of paediatric research depend heavily on funding from SPARKS.
Deutsch Bank sponsored the event as SPARKS was their chosen charity of the year. Among those presented with tribute awards was eight year old Zoe North who received the Child of Courage award, presented by HRH Princess Michael of Kent.
This was the first time SPARKS had used the Halls and they were not disappointed. “The Halls were a logical choice of venue because of their size and their great location. Being located so centrally with great transport links meant that it was accessible to all guests,” says Hayley Tulloch, event organiser at SPARKS. “The service in the build up to the event was impeccable and the staff at the Halls were great to work with.”
The gala went extremely well and the 550 guests were not let down. “Any hiccups were dealt with head-on and smoothed out beforehand,” continues Tulloch. “Thanks to the Halls’ dedicated staff, these inspirational people enjoyed a perfect evening.”
