The all-embracing world of IT came to the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre (RHH) in September 2006 in the form of a glittering event run by computer giant Hewlett Packard. Organised by MMM Live, the event saw the launch of the firm's new server and was enjoyed by over 500 invited guests.
The recently refurbished Lindley Hall and Lawrence Hall were used for the event as well as the flexible Conference Centre. The Lindley Hall acted as a reception drinks area and was dressed with material that illustrated the history of Hewlett Packard, while Lawrence Hall posed as the main plenary area with tiered seating.
The RHH’s in-house caterers, Leith's, were kept busy providing cream teas and delicate sandwiches as the guests arrived and a full, themed, buffet after the presentations. Leith’s General Manager Kevin Holmes says it was a pleasure for his team to work on the event: “The Conference was a huge success and showed the extent to which the Halls and Conference Centre complement each other.”
