The Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre opened its doors to over 400 beauty industry insiders in February 2008, when it hosted the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) UK Beauty Awards Demonstration. Visitors sampled hundreds of products from over a hundred beauty brands, including prestige names such as Chanel, Givenchy and Christian Dior. The winners were announced at the CEW (UK) Beauty Awards in April 2008.

This was the first time the event was held at the Halls; as the awards have gained momentum with an increased number of product entries, a more accommodating venue was needed to showcase all the products at the demonstration. The evening was organised by CEW (UK) in conjunction with Blue Dog Productions.

Caroline Neville, President of CEW (UK) says: “The Board of CEW (UK) was delighted with the new location for the CEW Beauty Awards Demonstration 2008. The space was perfect for our type of displays, and the other facilities – good cloakrooms, good storage space and rooms to change in – were all added benefits. Working with the team at the Halls was very straightforward. We will definitely be holding more events at the Royal Horticultural Halls in the future.”
